A danger to society

This shotgun allocations to each and every barrio captain in Pangasinan, is not only foolhardy, but a danger to society.
Shotgun . . . a destructive weapon with awesome power, in the hands of untrained and irresponsible persons would be a monstrous disaster going to happen.
Will it be used to break up petty spats? Shouting matches? Intimidate political opponents? Keep the drunks off the streets?
I said this because Espin-off, in this pinheaded action showed incompetence in understanding the Pinoy mentality. He forgot the Pinoy has the penchant to flaunt authority knowing his would-be decision, is sanctioned by Urduja. He forgot the Pinoy’s love affair with the gun.
Where’s the boundary defined by law these idiots of kapitans could
operate? It can be seen, Espin-off, with his gubernatorial powers crossed that line unrestricted with the Provincial Board and lapdog Nerez following suit.
Mayor Hernani Braganza of Alaminos did the right in refusing these shotguns to proliferate in his town. He showed wisdom that peace could be maintained not by show of force, but common sense.
I hate to see the day when BKs getting shot in the foot, children blown to bits. This is the scary part children getting hurt. Improper handling of a weapon will result in injury and death.
Let me explain. The code of the gun when not in use should be properly kept, unloaded and locked-up. With these unknowledgeable gooks what will happen is, have the weapon hanging by a wall with a shell in the chamber ready to fire. And the curiosity of a child will trigger an unimaginable disaster.
This would be Espin-off’s investment in craziness.
So sad he’s not thinking right!
