Hi Marifi, it is good to see you finding time to write. Lagi akong tumatambay rito at baka-sakaling may bago kang artikulo.
Nicholas is a rare breed for a Fil-Am. Most of the Fil-Ams I meet are always trying their best to slam in your face that they are different. Their accent suddenly shoots to the roof just to make sure you didn’t miss that.
We had a neighbor who went to the US. After 6 months he came home at ayaw nang magsalita ng dialect.
At sa gitna ng malamig na disyembre nagpabili ng yelo at naligo at panay ang sigaw ng “ang enet-enet naman dithow sa Pelipenas!“
I hope we have more of Nicholas’ who are proud of their heritage. I envy his parents.
