Dear Mr. Garcia,
My wife and I visited our daughter in Washington, DC last week and visited the Newseum. While watching the orientation video of the Newseum, I was very proud to see your Dad, Ermin Sr., pictured among the famous journalists of the world.
Our fathers must have been friends, because I remember seeing your Dad frequently bringing my Ama home from his work at Pantranco.
Originally from Pogo Grande, I now live in Piedmont, California, in the San Francisco Bay Area.
As my Ama prepares to celebrate his 100th birthday on December 6, 2008, I will be sure to tell him that his old friend, Ermin Garcia, Sr., is recognized among the world’s famous journalists as shown in the Newseum’s orientation video.
