If someone put an illegal structure on my property and that land was UNUSED, as was the beach property, I would have him sign a lease requiring payment for past and future use of the land. Failure of the squatter to make payments I would take steps to evict. If the store was profit making I would continue running the store using employees not related to the owner and try to improve the sari-sari store so that I could employ more people and in the process put more money in my pockets.
