Re: There will be … Pope!

The latest news coming out the Vatican went up in … black smoke … denoting the uncertainties, the confusion, the destabilization it brought forth with the abdication of Benedict XVI, the tsunami-like repercussions on the Catholic Church.

There’s no cardinal foreordained to take the cudgel, to chart the affairs of the Catholic Church in this turbulent and chaotic times, when the aging, overfeed, obese members of the conclave couldn’t decide which way to go like headless chickens thrown in the cauldron of boiling water.

THE VULTURE WITHIN . . .

When the 115 cardinals lined-up to vote, there’s gnawing question enveloping how they will cast their ballots, when lots of them – the doubting Thomases – have different opinions on what kind of a Pope the church wanted.

It seems, the call of ex-pope, the outcast Benedict for unity, will go unheeded. Who will listen to a dying voice imprisoned within the Vatican walls, living among the dead predecessors?

WHAT THE CATHOLICS NEED . . .

The conclave will eventually comes out from this messy affair, with a Pope, with competent managerial skills and devilishly clever in finance, not just an insignificant and lowly community organizer.

The time has come for the church to find someone who can clean up this Vatican dysfunctional bureaucratic mess, from the mismanagement in the Curia, to the debilitating disease of pedophilia, and the growing encroachment of secularism.

THE CARDINAL LUIS TAGLE . . .

Surrounded by the magnificence of medieval art at the Sistine Chapel, this Filipino Catholic leader, is one of those scarlet dressed prelates singing with gusto, the Litany of Saints imploring those dead saints (what in hell these dead jerkos can do?) to guide them how they will vote.

Far-fetched it may seemed, the Pinoys are going nuts asking God for His intercession, to change the minds of the conclave and bestow to this Filipino cardinal the everlasting honor.

I am not a gambling man, but this time I’ll put a wager, that Brother Luis won’t even touch the hearts and minds of the conclave dominated by whites.

His chance of getting picked, is likened to winning the Arizona Power Ball or the Mega Million, in a ratio of ten million to one or worse.

THE POLITICS WITHIN . . .

This august body that  decides the faith of the Pope, are split at the seams. There are those who want changes made the way where the church will go, but they are opposed by a formidable bunch at the … Curia … who wanted to maintain the status quo – the old ways how the church do business.

It’s bullshit all over again!
