Jazy Fernandez Garcia raced in the 2000 Olympics representing Guam but was dropped early on in the race. He raced with the likes of Ullrichs, Bartollis, and Armstrongs. The people who lived along the course appreciated this unknown, sole cyclist from this little country so much that they cheered him all of the six laps he rode and made him a huge banner. As he stopped to thank his supporters, mostly Aussies, the crowd was still chanting his name.

Thank you cyclingnews.com for this information and a bigger THANK YOU, Mr. Jazy Garcia for being a role model for young cyclist throughout your two countries Guam and Philippines.
