Hoping against hope

TALAGANG mahal ni Mar Roxas ang Dagupan at Pangasinan, ano, Jovy?

He was here last Tuesday, right after All Saints’ Day. He was getting impression he’d end up the ONLY candidate for president.

How? And why?

Certain quarters are saying Grace Poe will be disqualified; Jojo Binay will be arrested; Miriam Santiago will be forced to quit due to health reasons, and, well, our man Rody Duterte is still a question mark, if he’d run or not.

Hindi na natin hahabaan ang syllogism. Duterte is running. Take it from his confidant. Duterte will run and win. Itaga niyo sa bato yan, mga abay.

Of course, you saw it already.

Martin Dino, president of Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption, had withdrawn from the presidential race and told Comelec that his slot should be given to Duterte.

In his interview with multi awarded Maria Renesa, chief of Rattler media international, Duterte came out a super presidential bet, gaining 90% points!

Iyon ba ang kandidatong aatras?

On the vice presidential front, mukhang wala nang mananaig sa popularity ni Bongbong Marcos.

Yes, despite the so-called Martial Law atrocities and stealing of public funds.

Paano nagkaganoon? Simple. The so-called atrocities would pale in comparison with illicit drugs problem where 93% of all the Philippine barangays are reportedly hooked.

Isn’t that move horrible and frightening? Nakakasindak! Just look at your neighbors, if they are not in rehab centers, they are languishing in jail for crimes committed due to drugs.

Ay katawan, talagang mala-demonyo ira tay adik – that’s why we have no second thoughts about shooting on the public plaza these drug merchants. They are killing not only your youths. They are killing our future… our hope… our survival as a people.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is the turning point of our lives. Is our nation going around and forward?

Ok, let’s thwart the menace, first!

Who is our man to do such a formidable hob?

Not President P-noy. Not Mar Roxas. Not Grace Poe. Not Miriam.

Fact of the matter, it’s only Rody Duterte who is putting his entire being on the line in the name of the fight against drugs.

President Duterte for a Drug-free Philippines!

In Dagupan City, the 17-man drug bust last week was only miniscule in a city that’s notoriously hooked in the illegal thing.

Magpakita ka pa ng gilas, Col. Abrahano!

And that nasty report about three drug lords who were freed just because their names were not in the List should be investigated!

We heard some fat cash to the tune of P 450,000 – changed hands on the eve of the arrest.

Malaki, matindi!

Saan na kaya si Steve? This funny man who moved in the circles of Al Fernandez, Jun Velasco, our late Kuya Ado, the late Tito Cabuay, and the late Chris Mendoza was a comic. But his punchlines have witticism.

He calls certain Kandidatos – kandilakos. It’s common nowadays!

Great care should be observed on the arrest of Hadji Mendoza of Palafox, who is reportedly “wanted” in Ilocos Norte, by linking the beautiful Mayor Gwen Palafox Yamamoto of Bani, Pangasinan. We were told it was an honest mistake committed by the Bani municipal government to hire him as an emergency worker – but he was well behaved in all his years in the town of Bani according to Major Chris Natnat, Bani police chief.

The controversial Ilocano is, according to reports, lodged at the Ilocos Norte Provincial Jail. Certain politicians are making an issue out of his arrest because his name (Palafox) and because it’s election season.
