Who’s acting vs. three notorious barangays?

BEBOT-VILLAR

By Bebot Villar

CONGRATULATIONS to PSI Arnold Soriano, OIC Carmen Sub-Station Precinct Commander and Rosales Deputy Chief of Police, for capturing a notorious drug pusher in Barangay Carmen, Rosales, recently.

This is a positive development after the negative feedback I’ve been getting:  kalat na rin sa Rosales daw ang illegal drugs! This is not really surprising because neighboring towns are seriously infected na with illegal drugs. Buti na lang our police officers in Rosales are also working double-time to catch drug pushers.

Aside from Carmen, we still have the two notorious barangays in Dagupan City –Bonuan Binloc and Gueset – and Barangay Camantiles in Urdaneta, all drug-affected! The protectors of these 3 barangays must really be influential kasi until now walang tigil na pagkalat ng droga sa mga barangay na ito!

What is happening here, Superintendents Christopher Abrahano and Jeffrey Fanged?

Are there powerful people stopping our policemen from stopping the drug trade in these barangays? Is it about the expected drug money as campaign contributions?

Sa Urdaneta, looks like only Vice Mayor del Prado is moving against the drug syndicate. Our authorities should validate this information and once confirmed, they should act asap. Ang buhay ng mga kabataan ang nakasalalay.

Kaya, it’s important that our people especially those in the affected barangays to cooperate and help our police to validate the information particularly the presence of a clan lab in Urdaneta.

If our elected officials won’t act, kumilos na rin tayo to protect our respective families. We need to help each other.

Malalim na po ang ugat ng droga, hindi lang sa Pangasinan and the whole country but in many parts of the world. That’s why global problem na ang droga.

Let us not wait for our families to become the next victims before we act.

If our local officials may be already focused on the 2016 elections, we should not be like them.  We should deal with this drug problem immediately. What we are saving here are lives of our young people who will be the next generation’s leaders.

Take the case of a 17-year old Cebuana who was raped and killed inside her home.  Only a person under the influence of illegal drugs is capable of doing that.

Sabi nga, one cannot feel safe with a drug addict inside!  Totoo naman po. Shouldn’t you be afraid?

Annd here’s what I have to say sa ating mga bigating barangay captain-pushers!

Shabu and marijuana are still the two most widely used drugs sa ating bansa.

In other words, it is already a thriving, profitable industry so it cannot be defeated by our law enforcers alone. Our people must do their share in the national campaign.  Mas maraming nagtutulong-tulong, mas madali ang tagumpay.

With the government’s efforts and our people’s cooperation, I am certain that our dream for a drug-free Philippines is still possible.
