THE development of a Filipino-Chinese Garden is now being considered by the Dagupan City government following the proposal of some Manlingkor Ya Kalangweran officials.

Mayor Belen T. Fernandez bared this during the presentation and orientation of MBTF scholars at CSI Stadia on June 26.

Fernandez earlier accompanied the young city officials in an educational trip to the Botanical Garden in Baguio City, where Filipino-Chinese Friendship Garden can be found.

Young City Mayor Jalen Kody Fernandez said the MYK is hoping the city will decide to replicate the garden they saw in Baguio.

“It’s very beautiful and the surroundings are very clean. We also enjoyed the presence of each other and our beloved mayor,” added MYK’s Fernandez.

The mayor said that consultations will be initiated with Chinese ambassador to the Philippines to discuss the possibility of the city having its own Filipino-Chinese Friendship Garden. (CIO/VDV)
