THE Dagupan City Police has filed cases of carnapping and robbery against two suspects who reportedly held up the driver of a passenger jeepney in Barangay Caranglaan at 1:40 a.m. on May 27.

The cases were filed against Jeffrey Raymundo and one Jodel Raymundo who flagged down the jeepney driven by Jerry Igros, 38, of Mayombo Street in Dagupan and divested him of an Asus cellphone and ₱7,000 cash. They commandeered the jeepney and later dropped off Igros on the road.

Igros reported the incident to the Dagupan Police whose operatives caught up with the two and recovered the cash and cellphone. Jodel Raymundo managed to escape.

Igros thanked the Dagupan Police for their quick action that led to the arrest of one of the suspects. (Leonardo Micua)
