Two newly emerged drug personalities arrested

TWO suspected newly emerged drug personalities were arrested separately by the Dagupan City Police through entrapment operations.

P/Superintendent Franklin Ortiz, OIC-chief of police in Dagupan, identified one of the arrested suspects as Krisha Mendoza, 24, resident of Marker site, Herrero-Perez Street, who was caught in the act of selling one sachet of shabu to a confidential police asset.

Recovered from her possession was one sachet of shabu and P500 marked money.

The other newly emerged drug pusher arrested was identified as Joey de Guzman, 42, a tricycle driver and resident of Rivera Street.

He was also arrested in an entrapment operation near his place through a confidential police asset.

Recovered from De Guzman’s possession was one sachet of shabu and P300 marked money.

The two are detained and a cases of violation of Article 11, Section 5 of R.A. 9165 was filed against the suspects.

Ortiz said the arrests were made as part of continuing operations to clear Barangay 2 and 3 and Poblacion of illegal drugs. (Nora Dominguez)
