Rizal Tech U beats PSU-Lingayen

PISTA’Y DAYAT BEACH VOLLEYBELLE CHAMPIONSHIP

LINGAYEN – Spectators were treated to an action-packed beach volleyball game  where Rizal Technological University’s (RTU) tandem whipped the Pangasinan State University (PSU)-Lingayen duo last May 1 at the Capitol Beach Front for the championship game of the Pista’y Dayat.

RTU’s Cielo Candido and Macie Palahang walloped PSU-Lingayen‘s spikers Aileen Catacutan and Arci Viray.

On its 9th year, the Pista’y Dayat 2017 Beach Volleybelles Competition, was a collaboration between the provincial government and 2nd District Rep. Leopoldo N. Bataoil.

The tournament bracketed of ten teams into two groups and played round robin elimination on April 30, that later saw PSU- Lingayen Campus (PSU), Pangasinan 2, Saint Louis University (SLU), and Rizal Technological University 1 (RTU1) advancing to the semi finals and to the championship.

The other teams that competed were: LGU-Lingayen, Pamantasan Lungsod ng Marikina, World City Colleges, University of Rizal System, Rizal Technological University Campus 1 and 2, University of Luzon and Pangasinan 2.

Both Candido and Palahang walked home with Php 20,000.00 cash prize and trophy, while Catacutan and Viray received Php 10,000.00 and trophy. (PIO/KMR-CB)
