LINGAYEN– The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP), in its special session held on May 16 here approved the appropriation of P4,000 as financial assistance for each job order (contractual) employee and consultant in the provincial government.

Resolution author Board Member Angel M. Baniqued, Jr. said the fund was appropriated to help the contractual employees during the “lean months.”

“The provincial government and its officials find it meritorious to reward also, as a token of their dedicated service, all job order/contractual employees and consultants for their unprecedented efforts and assistance in making Pangasinan always No. 1 in terms of public and civil service,” the resolution reads.

Meanwhile, Capitol employees with plantilla positions (permanent/co-terminus) will receive their 14^th month pay which is equivalent to the non-taxable one-month salary as stipulated in Budget Circular No. 2017-2 dated May 8, 2017 released by the Department of Budget Ministry.

The budget circular states that a personnel entitled to mid-year bonus must at least have a ‘satisfactory performance rating’ in the recent rating period. /Mark Gerry Naval Oblanca
