A 28-year-old tricycle driver and a resident of Bacayao Norte, Dagupan City, was arrested by policemen on patrol after he was chanced upon talking to an unidentified person on board a single motorcycle beside a sari-sari store at Amado St., along Tapuac Road at 3:30 a.m. on Sept. 12.

Arrested was Jonathan Dacanay, alias “Estong”, from whom lawmen seized one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu.

Upon seeing the policemen, the person Dacanay was talking to sped off on board his motorcycle, leaving the suspect (Dacanay) alone.

Before the policemen could get near him, Dacanay threw a folded paper on the ground which was found to contain shabu, but he was spotted by the lawmen.

A case for violation of RA 9165 is now being prepared against the suspect.  (With report from DCPS)
