MORE than 7,000 job opportunities will be available today during the Independence Day “Kalayaan 2016: Pagkakaisa, Pag-aambagan, Pagsulong” job fair at Nepo Mall in Dagupan City.

Department of Labor and Employment-Regional Office Director Grace Ursua said some 31 employers have initially confirmed to make at least 7,610 vacancies available in the said jobs fair.

Local employment opportunities are for teachers, call center representatives, production operators, accountants and accounting staff, cashiers, office personnel, engineers, technicians, among others.

Overseas job orders, on one hand, are topped by nurses and allied professions, professionals and skilled workers for the construction, service and agriculture industries.

The job fair will be held from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, as one of three job fairs being organized to mark the 118^th celebration of the Philippine Independence.

Among the local employers to join the fair are Northcare Contact Center, Champion Employment Agency, Kenwood Hauler and Construction, San Vicente Dressing Plant, DRB Sales, Magic Group of Companies; RPR Promotions; S & F Finance Corp., Option Plus, S-P Madrid, Pandayan Bookshop, E-Performax Contact Center, Qualicare Expert Outsourcing Company, Service Resources, One Source General Solutions, Kabraso Multi-Purpose; LDP Farms Food Corp., Acabar Marketing; Watsons, JolliMagic, Northpoint and Grolier International.

The licensed recruitment agencies that will participate include Eyequest International Manpower Services, SMC Manpower Agency Philippines Co., God’s Will International Placement, LBS Recruitment Solutions Corp., Al Jazira Manpower Services, 1^st Northern International Placement, Inc., B.M.C.A.R.T and Starborne International Promotion and Manpower Corp.

At the fair are one-stop-shop services of PhilHealth, SSS, BIR, POEA, TESDA and OWWA will be provided to cater to employment concerns of both jobseekers and workers. (Johanne Macob)
