HERE’S a piece of good news to parents!

Business establishments in Dagupan City and Pangasinan are selling school supplies below the Suggested Retail Price (SRP) posted by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in its website.

This was bared by Marjorie Loresco, chief industry development specialist of the DTI provincial office in Dagupan.

She said DTI’s monitoring since April indicated this.

There was one only establishment that attempted to sell beyond the SRP but this was immediately corrected.

She told the KBP Forum in Dagupan that all business establishments responded positively to the call of the DTI to hold special sales on school supplies that included handbags, umbrellas, raincoats school uniforms and others.

The special sales are being offered in CSI, Magic, CB Mall, Robinson’s Place, Nepo Mall and Unitop.

These establishments offered promos such as “Best Buy”, “Buy-One-Take Two” and “Buy-Five-Take Seven”.

DTI earlier said old stocks of school supplies can still be sold but at lower prices than the new ones.
