14-year-old boy nabbed in drug buy-bust
A 14-year-old out-of-school youth was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation conducted by the police at around 4:55 p.m. on June 2 along the alley leading to Sitio Aling, Arellano Street in Dagupan City.
The suspect “Jaime” (not his real name) resides with his mother and brother at Sitio Aling Street in Barangay Pantal.
He was caught in a buy-bust operation by intelligence agents of the Dagupan City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group.
The transaction happened in front of the house of the suspect where he was seen waiting for the undercover agent who acted as the shabu buyer.
Jaime handed the one heat-sealed plastic sachet to the poseur buyer after receiving P300 marked money.
After the exchange, other undercover agents in the area immediately rushed to arrest Jaime.
Investigation showed Jaime has a brother who is a known user.
After a case for violation of Art II Sec. 5 of RA 9165 was filed against the suspect, he was turned over to the Department of Social Welfare in San Fernando La Union for processing and counseling. (Leonardo Micua)
