House, school library damaged by ‘piccolo’

A HOUSE and a school were partially burnt after ‘piccolo’ firecrackers were exploded near them during the Yuletide revelry.

F/Inspector Romie Tungpalan, acting city fire marshal of Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Dagupan City, said two cases were recorded in the province last December 25 and January 2, respectively.

On Christmas day, a residential house in Barangay Cablong, Pozorrubio sustained some damages from a burnt due to the firecracker ‘piccolo,’ said Tungpalan during the KBP Forum last week.

Meanwhile, bookshelves in the library of Trinidad Perez Elementary School in Urdaneta City were razed by fire suspected to have been caused also by a firecracker explosion inside the campus on January 2. (Johanne R. Macob)
