No. 1 drug pusher arrested in Binmaley

THE number one drug pusher in the town of Binmaley was arrested by joint elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the police a week after Governor Amado Espino Jr.  ordered the police to treat drug pushers worse than murderers.

Arrested at his house in Barangay San Isidro Sur was Richard Cerezo De Vera, 29,  alias “Pataw”, head of the Pataw Group of drug syndicate operating in Binmaley, identified as the number one drug personality in Binmaley town.

PDEA agents, accompanied by elements of the Highway Patrol Group (HPG), Pangasinan Police Provincial Office and Binmaley Police Station, served a search warrant dated August 25, 2015, issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Renato Pinlac of Branch 57 in San Carlos City for Violation of Republic Act 9165 (The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

Seized from the suspect was one cigarette case containing seven pieces of transparent heat-sealed plastic sachet containing shabu, one tooter, an eyeglass case containing P42, 630 in different denominations and nine pieces of one US dollar bill.  

Also seized was one shoulder bag containing Php1,890 coins in different denominations, two bullets for Caliber 9mm and one bullet for Caliber 38, black bag containing used-aluminum foils and two syringes, one traveling bag containing three pieces of transparent heat-sealed plastic sachet of “shabu”, one lighter, one Samurai sword, and two motorcycles.
