URBIZTONDO— Finally, the town has its police station building.

Second Disgrict Rep. Leopoldo Bataoil, Mayor Martin Raul Sison II, and chief of police Inspector Wilfredo Cabanayan led the inauguration of the Urbiztondo Municipal Police Station located in the town’s poblacion.

According to Sison, the P4.1-million, three-storey police building was a joint project of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Region 1, through the initiative of Bataoil, and their local government.

Gusto kong i-compete ang ating bayan… bilang pinakaligtas, pinakamapayapang bayan sa lalawigan ng Pangasinan, sa buong rehiyon, at maging sa buong Pilipinas,” the mayor said.

Mr. Bataoil rallied the local cops to their mission: “Policeman must be seen, felt, and experienced positively.” He said all the eight towns comprising the second legislative district are with individual/separate PNP buildings.

He added, this made the second district of Pangasinan one of the few districts in the country with complete individual police stations. (Johanne Macob)
