Dagupan athletes get allowances from city
THE 28 Dagupan athletes bound for Palarong Pambansa 2015 on May 3-9 in Tagum City, Davao del Norte received cash allowances from the city government on April 21 under the city’s B.T.F. Does it Sports program.
Each athlete received P2,255 as cash allowance from the Dagupan City Sports Commission.
Commission officials together with the Department of Education (DepEd) led the distribution of the allowances last week.
The athletes are from Pangasinan Universal Institute (PUI), Genesis School of Happy Kids Advanced Studies, West Central Elementary School 1, Saint Albert the Great School, Lyceum Northwestern University, Dominican School, Escuela de Nuestra Señora de La Salette and La Marea Academy.
Eight will be playing in basketball elementary boys, three in high school boys and one player in high school girl; three will be competing in gymnastics, one in elementary volleyball boys, six in swimming elementary boys and girls while four in high school boys and girls.
One girl athlete will be competing in arnis and another in girl’s athletics. (CIO)
