Suspected KFR member shot dead in Urbiztondo
LINGAYEN–A suspected member of a kidnap-for-ransom (KFR) gang was shot dead in Barangay Bayaoas, Urbiztondo in the afternoon of June 29.
The suspect, Ronald Quitaleg Pidlaoan , alias Buddha, 44, a farmer from Barangay Guiteb, Urbiztondo, is also a suspected member of a gun-for-hire group .
Pidlaoan was on board a motorcycle bound for home from a cockpit, with one Fernando De Layola as his back-rider, when he was shot repeatedly by unidentified persons on board another motorcycle .
Pidloan sustained several gunshot wounds in different parts of his body and died on the spot.
De Layola managed to scamper away during the shooting.
Three empty shells of Cal. 45 pistol bullet was found by members of the Urbiztondo police who rushed to the crime scene.
The police reported that Pidlaoan was previously charged and prosecuted for the crime of kidnapping.
