City sets SOP on medical missions

MAYOR Benjamin Lim has directed Dr. Leonard Carbonell, city health officer, to draft a set of guidelines on the conduct of medical missions in Dagupan City, particularly those conducted in the aftermath of man-made and natural calamities.

Concerned residents reportedly asked the mayor to issue the directive to cover free medical, dental and other health services given by other government agencies and non-governmental organizations.

“While we are one with these agencies and organizations in their noble intentions and objectives, we should see to it that such services do not pose any possible risk to the health and well-being of any of our constituents,” said Lim. (CIO)
