EVEN schools are not spared by thieves, and they are getting younger and younger.

For the fourth time this year, the General Gregorio Elementary School in barangay Bonuan Gueset in Dagupan lost another property to thieves.

This time, the thieves took off with 45 meters of electric wire cable. Consequently, the school was without lights and electric fans for a week.

Teacher Minafe Gabiola said thieves seem to be targeting the school given the easy access citing the constant loss of office equipment particularly electric fans.

In a television interview, city Chief of Police Romeo Caramat said reports show that the suspected thieves are mostly teenagers.

Ayon sa intelligence report, mga kabataan o menor de edad ang nagsasagawa ng pagnanakaw diyan sa Bonuan.” Caramat said.

At the same time, Caramat advised residential and small business establishment owners to take extra security precautions in locking their shops. (V.H. Sarmiento, PIA-Pangasinan)
