Dagupan, adjudged DICT top performing LGU
THE Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) named Dagupan City as one of the Top Performing Local Government Units (LGUs) in Pangasinan for its Vaccination Information Management System (VIMS) for the third quarter of 2022.
The DICT, along with other government agencies, provides technical support and assistance in the development and deployment of systems to aid in the management of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
It includes the VaxCert PH for private citizens and the VIMS-Immunization Registry (VIMS-IR) and DICT Vaccination Administration System (DVAS) for government agencies and local government units.
COVID-19 vaccination campaigns have been intensified by the city government in line with the Department of Health’s PinasLakas campaign launched in Dagupan City on August 15.
Mayor Belen Fernandez has been leading vaccination drives in all the barangays and during events or activities conducted by the city government aside from regular vaccination activities at the City Astrodome, City Health Office, SM Mall and CSI Market Square.
Residents that submitted for vaccination were provided three kilos of rice as an incentive.
To further boost the COVID-19 vaccination campaign furthermore, a Drive-Thru Vaccination Campaign was launched at the Dagupan City Transport Terminal De Venecia Highway Extension on September 10.
In addition to the rice incentive, COVID-19 Vax stickers are given to drive-thru vaccinees, a joint effort of the Department of Health, City Health Office and the Public Order and Safety Office. (Dagupan CIO News)
