MAHARLIKA PILIPINAS BASKETBALL LEAGUE

MORE than 300 basketball players participated in the three-day search for outstanding basketball players in Pangasinan by several coaches, including PBA legend, Danny “Lakay” Ildefonso for the basketball team representing Pangasinan at the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) held at the Calasiao Sports Complex.

Pangasinan is set to join the 29 active teams in MPBL in its upcoming 6^th season.

First District Board Member Napoleon Fontelera Jr. said the team that will represent Pangasinan will be formed by Alaminos City Mayor Arth Bryan Celeste based on the result of the try outs.

Fontelera also said Mayor Celeste approved Pangasinan’s membership in the MPBL and urged Governor Ramon Guico III to support the team.

The team is expected to be formed by end of February. (Kim Gealogo)
