Dagupan to host DILG’s ‘BIDA’ fun run
DAGUPAN City will be the venue for the Department of Interior and Local Government’s (DILG) ‘Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan (BIDA) Fun Run’ to be held on April 9.
DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos is expected to lead the event with some 10,000 runners from the entire Region 1 composed of government officials, celebrities, brand ambassadors and stakeholders joining the anti-illegal drugs advocacy.
This was agreed on following a coordination meeting for the event among DILG officials, government agencies and Mayor Belen Fernandez on Thursday, March 9 at the CSI Stadia.

“I thank the DILG and Sec. Abalos for choosing to bring the BIDA Fun Run here in our city,” the mayor said.
Mayor Fernandez also invited Secretary Abalos to officially open the Balay Silangan Drug Reformation Facility of Dagupan after the fun run.
The fun run’s flow of activities, roles and responsibilities of participating agencies, creation of a technical working group were discussed alongside the establishment of service caravans of participating government institutions.
The BIDA Fun Run was previously held in Pasay City last February with the participation of some 16,000 runners. (Dagupan CIO News)
