DAGUPAN City Mayor Belen Fernandez was among the local government executives, led by Governor Ramon Guico III and Vice Governor Mark Lambino, that met with DILG Sec. Benhur Abalos during his visit to Pangasinan last January 30 to join the celebration of the Binmaley Town Fiesta. He was invited by Mayor Pete Merrera III and he took the opportunity to discuss the impact of the Mandanas-Garcia Ruling of the Supreme Court, particularly some of the devolved functions under the Local Government Code of 1991 and the need to amend it.  (Dagupan CIO News)

FREE ANTI-RABIES VACCINATION FOR ‘BANTAY’ AND  ‘MING-MING’

MAYOR Belen Fernandez engages pet owners who came to avail of the Dagupan City government’s hosted ‘free anti-rabies vaccination” campaign at the City Veterinary Office  where free medicines were also distributed and consultations were provided for proper care of their home pets. Among the first barangays scheduled for the program were Barangay Pogo Chico (January 27), Herrero Perez (January 31), at Barangay 1 (February 1). According to OIC City Veterinarian Dr. Daniel Paolo Garcia, some 407 pet dogs and cats were vaccinated from the 3 barangays. (Dagupan CIO News)

2023 TRICYCLE REGULATORY STICKERS DISTRIBUTED

TRICYCLE franchise holders receive their 2023 regulatory stickers from Mayor Belen Fernandez and Public Order and Safety Office (POSO) Chief Arvin Decano at the Dagupan City Transport Terminal last February 1 to enable passengers to easily identify which are legitimate tricycle units in the city. The distribution of the stickers was part of the 2023-2025 Free Tricycle Franchise Renewal program launched by the administration of Mayor Fernandez and Vice Mayor BK Kua to help tricycle operators and drivers recover from their losses during the Covid pandemic.
