LOCAL filmmakers in Dagupan City are set to pit their latest documentary obra in perhaps the region’s largest Film festival this March, to be held on March 16-24 in Baguio City.

Youthcaster Production’s ‘Sketsa na Dagupan’ (A Sketch of Dagupan), has been named among eight finalists in the Montañosa Film Festival’s documentary category.

Christian Ramoso, director and head of Youthcaster Production, urges all Pangasinenses, particularly local artists and art enthusiasts to support their bid to win the major prize.

Ramoso, in an interview, said the documentary is a reflection of group’s struggles, that features two visual artists in the City – Dr. Ann Bolos – a dentist and a self-taught artist, and Mariano Aguinaldo, a protégé of late National Artist an Dagupeño Victorio Edades.

Exploring different spaces of art, the duo’s struggles and the state of the local art scene in Dagupan City are discussed in the documentary. (Ahikam Pasion)
