San Carlos City‘s student leaders get training
THE San Carlos City government conducted a seminar on Emotional Intelligence for Leadership Effectiveness for Supreme Student-Leaders Government (SSLG) Officers of the San Carlos City School Division last November 16-17 at the San Carlos City Youth Center.
SSLG officers from 23 schools completed the two-day seminar which highlighted self-awareness, self-regulation, self-motivation and social skills as significant factors in achieving effective leadership.
This leadership training was organized by the City Population Office headed by Dr. Luisa Cayabyab to enable young leaders to understand and manage their own emotions, allowing them to make rational decisions and maintain composure in extreme situations.
She said that true leadership lies in recognizing and nurturing emotions to create a positive organization. (Kim Gealogo)
