THE town of Pozorrubio registered another first as it celebrates the Month of the Elderly in October by holding a fund-raising popularity contest. The contest, organized the Federation of Senior Citizens Association of Pozorrubio culminated in a motorcade and coronation of the winning senior beauties on October 14 and 15, respectively.

The candidate of the Barangay Bobonan Senior Citizen Association, representing a cluster of 4 barangays, garnered the queenly position raised P5M+.

The next candidate got P79K+. The last scored P22K+. The 7 candidates represented 7 clusters of barangays from 34 barangays.

Pangasinan’s First Lady, Maan Tuazon-Guico graced the occasion as the queen crowning guest. Senior Citizen Party-list Representative Rep. Rodolfo M. Ordanes was the guest of honor and crowning guest.  Entertainment was provided by Bobonan Senior Citizen dancers. (Ginofreo S. Quesada)
