COLONEL Joseph Jeremias Cirilo C. Dator, a native of Barangay Lucap, Alaminos City was recently selected as one of the 2023 Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipinos Awardees.

Col. Dator was cited for his ‘excellent performance’ of his duties and responsibilities as the current Chief of Staff for Operations (G3) of the Presidential Security Group, including his previous designations.

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan passed a resolution authored by Board Member Arthur C. Celeste, Jr. on September 25 during the provincial board’s regular session.

In a press statement by the provincial government, it said that Col. Dator’s accomplishments in his line of duty ‘are clear manifestations of his unwavering commitment to serve the military organization at all times.’

Col. Dator had been assigned to carry out missions in the country where he aided in the government’s efforts concerning the war against the New People’s Army – the armed force of the Communist Party of the Philippines which has been waging a Maoist-inspired war for national democracy and socialism in the country.

He also authored the intelligence annex of the Philippine Army’s Development Support and Security Plan ‘Kapayapaan,’ serving as the blueprint for military intelligence operations of the army.

The resolution also commends Dator’s military experience, particularly in the Davao region, where intense combat between government and belligerent forces occur.

He now joins the echelon of Outstanding Filipinos in the country and is included as among those who serve the country “beyond excellence” for rendering service beyond his call of duty as a defender of the nation.
