SP commends Pangasinense, 2nd top bar topnotcher
A PANGASINENSE, the No. 2 topnotcher in the November 2022 bar exam was lauded by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) last Monday.
The provincial board members hailed Atty. Erickson C. Mariñas’ impressive accomplishment for placing the Top 2 spot in the November 2022 Bar Examination with a rating of 88.76 percent.
“It is noteworthy that Atty. Mariñas, a 26-year old Pangasinense, was among the 3,992 out of 9,183 or 43.4% of those who passed the Bar Examination given last November 2022,” the approved resolution authored by Fourth District Board Members Jerry Agerico Rosario and Marinor de Guzman partly read commending.
Mariñas, from Barangay Labney, San Jacinto town, son of Jorge Mejia Mariñas (+) and Loreta Cayabyab Mariñas and a cum laude graduate of the University of the Philippines College of Law (Class of 2022) “brought distinct honor and prestige to the Province of Pangasinan,” the resolution added.
Prior to entering the law school, Atty. Mariñas finished his Bachelor of Science in Legal Management course with a scholarship at the Ateneo de Manila University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, and was conferred as Class Valedictorian of 2019. He also received the Program Awardee.
“The Sangguniang Panlalawigan recognizes the strong determination of Atty. Erickson C. Mariñas to fulfill his childhood dream to become a lawyer as evidenced by his recent remarkable accomplishment,” the resolution stated. (Eva Visperas)
