AFTER more than three decades, members of the Association of Pangasinan School Organ Advisers (APSOA) will finally hold a reunion on May 13 at the Star Plaza Hotel in Dagupan City.

Original APSOA members, both the retired and still active, will be interacting not only with each other but with new advisers as well.

According to organizers, new advisers are welcome to attend the event provided they could show credentials that they are advisers of school organ. The gathering is exclusive for the APSOAns only.

The holding of a reunion was decided during “kilometric” conversations among active members.

It can be recalled that even before the association was formed, the Division of Pangasinan Schools was a consistent champion in the Regional Secondary Schools Press Conference.

There was a time when a student-journalist from the province won the editorial writing in the National SSPC. There was only one school division during that time. Now there are six school divisions.

Retired Educational Media Supervisor Leonardo Galvez who was instrumental in organizing the APSOA already planed-in from Los Angeles, U.S.A. to join the reunion.

During his time, Pangasinan Division has enjoyed an immense popularity as borne out by the championship plums it won in the regional and national competitions. (Leonardo Micua)
