Anakbanwa artists’ exhibit, Oct 9-Nov 6
SUNDAY, October 9, will surely be one of the greatest days in art history of Dagupan City.
The Anakbanwa Creativity Residency Project, a brainchild of Fourth District Representative Christopher de Venecia, will fill the historic MacArthur House at the West Central Elementary School I with its’ artists art exhibit.
Fifty art works from various local artists from the Fourth District and works from Luzon-based creatives of Nathan Artificio who specializes in Interior Design, Gab Brioso, a New Media Artist, and Xyza Ragunjan, a Movement Artist.
The official Anakbanwa Facebook page said the participants “were given an opportunity to immerse themselves in the diverse landscapes of the 4th District of Pangasinan, connect with communities, and develop works inspired by their creative collisions.”
This exhibit will serve as the residency project’s culmination after a year-long fellowship.
The program provided accommodation overlooking the Tondaligan Beach, financial grants, and creative community immersion to the participants.
“The project is a platform for artists to create context and site-specific work, while collaborating with a diverse cohort of local artisans, craft makers, and emerging arts communities in the historic region”, the project said.
De Venecia, a champion of the arts, seek to promote the Fourth district and the country through the creative industry.
The Anakbanwa Arts Exhibit will be open from October 9 to November 6, 2022. (Ahiam Pasion)
