Sta. Barbara mom to represent PH in Mrs. Tourism pageant

A beauty queen and a mother from Sta. Barbara town will represent the Philippines in Mrs. Tourism International tilt in Thailand on September 22.

Thirty-two-year-old Cyren Kenna Bales, a native of Santa Barbara town, was chosen to represent the country for the international competition.

Bales’ advocacy is to promote the empowerment of single mothers, by helping single moms via livelihood programs and involvement in other humanitarian activities.

Being a mother of three children, Bales has a soft heart for children. Her advocacy also includes assisting orphans.

By joining the competition through her promoter, MEGA Productions, Bales hopes to promote not only the country’s tourism, but her passion for empowerment and love for children.

“Gusto nating maging boses para sa mga oppressed na single parents. Ang dami nilang sakripisyo para sa kanilang mga anak at pamilya,” said Bales in an interview.

Bales, a licensed esthetician, is also a thriving businesswoman. She founded the International Institute of Aesthetics Training Center, and also won as the best PMU Artist in Eyebrows during the Myanmar International Beauty Competition.

She is currently studying at Unciano College to pursue her lifelong dream to become  a dentist.

Giving back to the community, Bales now gears up to take her mission to the international stage. (Ahikam Pasion)
