STA. MARIA REPLACED

MAYOR Belen Fernandez has named Jom Serna as new market administrator to stop the illegal collection of fees imposed on vendors and to spur market collections.

Serna replaced Aguedo Sta. Maria under whose term the market vendors have complained of illegal fees imposed on them by his designated market marshals and collectors.

Fernandez also named Christopher Beltran as head of the anti-littering unit, to implement cleanliness and sanitation regulations in the city.

At the same time, Mayor Fernandez directed the creation of a task force that will look into the problems of market vendors, a number of whom  were victims of “kotong” and harassment by market marshals. (Leonardo Micua)
