FIFTY young mothers who completed the Commission on Population and Development’s (POPCOM), Social Protection Program for Adolescent Mothers and their Children (SPPAMC) beneficiaries held at the City E-Library on June 17 received their allowances and certificates as beneficiaries.

SPPAMC is a program crafted by POPCOM and the Department of Social Welfare and Development that helps ensure preventive and protective social interventions aimed at reducing poverty, inequality, vulnerability to risks, and enhance the social status and rights of the marginalized young mothers and their children through guided livelihood activities.

The program was implemented for teen moms in Dagupan City from January to June this year in collaboration with the Dagupan City government. (PIA Pangasinan/AMMB)
