WHEN excitement suddenly built up Thursday hours after an announcement was made on the official Facebook page of former Mayor Belen Fernandez for the live concert of various popular band groups to be held at the CSI helipad on April 30 at 5:00 p.m., the huge number that joined came as no surprise.

Netizens were agog on watching Ben & Ben, Sponge Cola, Lunarlights, Nobita, Adie at Allmost! for the summer fun, courtesy of Team Belen-BK (Belen Fernandez-Brian Kua team).

As early as Friday at 5:00 p.m., the post at Mayor Belen T. Fernandez’s official Facebook page has already garnered 9,900 reactions, plus 4,800 comments and 10,800 shares.

The event was part of the CSI Music and Arts Festival.

She clarified that only limited number of grills for the usual inihaw na bangus, hotdog, pork barbecue, fish and others were available and she merely heeded the popular demand of the youth who appealed for the staging of an April 30 concert similar to the ones they had in past years during the Bangus Festival.

“This is for them and for everyone who love music, bonding of friends and families to relive the happy memories we had right in this area some years back,” Fernandez said. (Eva Visperas)
