THE Explosive Ordinance Disposal and Canine Unit of the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office in the First District launched its ‘Project Awareness of Bombs that Kill Lives and Destroy Properties  (A.B.K.D,) before Grade 6 students of the Alaminos City Central School last March 1, 2024.

Project A.B.K.D aims to educate barangay officials, teachers, and students about the danger posed by various kinds of explosives while stressing the value of cooperation between all parties involved, and what to do in the event of a bomb threat that have the potential to cause harm to people or property.

According to P/ Chief Master Sergeant Lester Ledda, who led the lecture, the campaign serves as a training ground to equip local officials, especially the youth with necessary information and resources to confront life-threatening challenges.

Project A.B.K.D. was launched amid a series of bomb threats received by various schools and offices recently and that were fortunately found to be hoax as works of still unidentified pranksters. (Kim Gealogo)
