Farmer kills neighbor suspected of stealing his goat, chicken

A 59-year-old farmer shot and killed his neighbor in Barangay Bolosan, San Carlos City whom he suspected to have stolen his goat and chicken last March 17.

Suspect Rogelio Pajilona shot dead Philip Sander De Guzman, 43, at the latter’s home using a caliber 38 revolver. The suspect escaped but voluntarily surrendered to the police on March 20.

P/Maj. Resty Ventanilla, deputy city chief of police, said Pajilona confronted the victim in his house about his missing goat and chicken. Their confrontation led to the shooting incident.

The victim suffered two gunshot wounds in the body and was dead on arrival at a local hospital.  Pajilona was charged with committing murder and remains in the custody of the San Carlos City Police. (Kim Gealogo)
