Wife dies in in road mishap
A 52-year-old woman died, while her 55-year-old husband is still under medical care after they were run over by an overtaking SUV in Barangay Caranglaan, Mabini town.
Victims Marieneddie and Samuel Nevado, both residents of Barangay Don Matias in Burgos town, riding a motorcycle along the national road, when they were suddenly hit by an SUV being driven by Angela Briana, a resident of Barangay Poblacion, Mabini.
Initial police investigation showed Briana attempted to overtake the couple as an oncoming vehicle was speeding towards them, so she swerved back to her lane, hitting the couple.
The victims were thrown away by the impact and sustained major injuries, which later killed Marieneddie.

Man dead in motorcycle accident
A 26-year-old man died after being hit by an incoming motorcycle in Rosales town.
Victim Rheden Velasco, a resident of Barangay Station District, Rosales, was riding his motorcycle along Barangay Tomana West when he was hit an oncoming motorcycle driven by seaman Edgardo Diokno, 61, of Barangay Rizal Avenue in San Carlos City.
Police investigation shows Diokno took on Velasco’s lane, resulting in the accident.
Diokno is currently under police custody.

PWD shoplifters nabbed
TWO persons with disabilities (PWDs) were arrested by authorities after being caught in the act of stealing in Binmaley town.
Precy Bautista, cashier, sought help from policemen on patrol in the area, reported the theft of suspects Glennester Operaña, 41, of Barangay Carael Centro in Dagupan City, and Mary Joy Soriano, of Poblacion, Mangaldan who ran away after stealing products in her store in Barangay Poblacion.
According to Bautista’s statement backed by CCTV footage, the suspects, who turned out to be deaf and mute went, inside the store and pocketed chocolate, milk, shampoo and other products in sachet.
Police gave chase until the suspects have been cornered. Stolen items were computed to be worth around P1,000.
Suspects now detained while facing theft charges.

Tricycle driver injured in crash amid motorcycle tilt
A TRICYCLE driver suffered injuries after two participants in a motorcycle endurance challenge hit the former in Labrador town.
The incident occurred in Barangay Uyong, during the 1st Hundred Island Motorcycle Endurance Challenge, while a tricycle being driven by victim Pepito Cruz, a resident of Barangay San Jose in Labrador, was hit by participants Derzon Rolle, 35, and Jerickson Peralta, 32, both residents of Barangay Palamis in Alaminos City.
The participants were traversing the road when Cruz in his tricycle in front, suddenly turned left, resulting in the two participants crashing onto him.
Cruz was rushed into the hospital, while Rolle and Peralta suffered only minor injuries.

Family injured in San Jacinto truck accident
A 41-year-old farmer, and his family were injured after their tricycle crashed into a truck in San Jacinto town.
Police investigation reveals the victims Fernando Solis, along with family Rovelin, 40, Ralph, 13, and Rex Fernan, 9, all residents of Barangay Anonang in San Fabian town, were traversing the provincial road along Barangay Macayug, San Jacinto.
The tricycle slowed down and is about to park along a vulcanizing shop when an incoming Elf truck crashed onto them.
The truck was being driven by Rowel Melchor, a resident of Paniqui in Tarlac province.
The tricycle flipped, injuring the victims. Police investigation showed Melchor was drunk when the incident occurred.

Two construction workers dead in stabbing incident
TWO construction workers died after stabbed by a co-worker in Burgos town.
Victims Renato Naga, 62, and Pedro Retoya Jr., 60, both died under the hands of suspect Ronnie Rivera.
The three were having a drinking spree in Barangay Aludig in Burgos town, but had an altercation. Rivera then stabbed the victims, resulting in their deaths.
It was revealed that the victims had a history with Rivera, as they were always making fun of the latter.
Police said Rivera who was already drunk took offense and took out a knife and began stabbing the two.
Rivera was eventually arrested in Barangay San Vicente, Burgos in a follow-up operation.
