Pangasinan PNP set for maximum deployment

THE Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO) is set to implement a maximum deployment plan to aid and protect travelers, pilgrims, visitors and residents during the observance of Holy Week and the long holiday next month.

This was bared by P/Captain Renan dela Cruz, PPPO information Officer, in an interview on Tuesday, March 21, who said the entire police force will focus on places of convergence beginning the week of April 2, i.e., churches, shopping malls, beaches, and bus terminals.

Dela Cruz said a minimum of 148 uniformed police personnel will be deployed in churches, 121 personnel in markets, groceries, while 43 policemen will be deployed in shopping malls, plaza, and parks.

“A number of policemen in civilian clothes will also be deployed”, he said.

Public assistance desks will also be installed in popular tourist destinations in the province to provide assistance to motorists as first responders in case of vehicular accidents in the areas.

Also tapped to help secure public areas are 592 individuals belonging to Civilian Volunteers Organizations (CVO), Barangay Peacekeeping Action Teams (BPATS), who will serve as force multiplier. (Ahikam Pasion)
