THE Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO) warns the public against thieves that target homes left unattended during the observance of the Holy Week and during the scheduled long holidays on April 6 – April 10.

P/Captain Renan dela Cruz, PPP0 information officer, said it is usually during the Holy Week when criminals plan and rob houses knowing that most families leave their houses to attend religious activities or leave for days for leisure and vacation.

Dela Cruz said pickpocketing is also rampant during the Holy Week, as persons tend to forget to watch out for their belongings in the middle of an exciting activity, either sightseeing or shopping.

“Make sure to designate a neighbor to watch over your house, if no member of the household can stay to watch the house.” advised dela Cruz. (Ahikam Pasion)
