“Pangasinan mayor” helped Bamban mayor operate POGO?
WHO is the Pangasinan mayor whom Senator Jinggoy Estrada described as the “live-in partner” of controversial Mayor Alice Leal Guo of Bamban, Tarlac “operating, managing and handling the POGO hub” in Bamban”?
The question posed by Senator Estrada to beleaguered Mayor Guo triggered an avalanche of speculations in Pangasinan when he did not mention the name of the “mayor in Pangasinan” during the continuation of the second hearing on May 22 by the Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations and Gender Equality chaired by Senator Risa Hontiveros on the raided POGO hub in one of the buildings located inside the Baofu compound that used to be owned by Guo.
“I heard from a reliable source that the operation of POGO in her (Guo’s) town—the one operating it, or handling it, managing it, is her partner. Incidentally, her partner is also a public official,” said Senator Estrada in a talk to newsmen later after the hearing.
Estrada, however, refused to provide the name of alleged Guo’s partner.
Guo, flatly denied Senator Estrada’s claim, saying she’s single, no boyfriend and neither does she have a partner.
“First of all, I am not connected with POGO. I am not an operator of POGO. I am not related to any activities within and outside POGO,” she said.
Senator Estrada however indicated he will name the public official said to be live in partner of Guo, as disclosed by his reliable source in a future hearing. (Leonardo Micua)
