Pangasinan’s 14 hospitals get P55.44M grant from DOH

THE Department of Health (DOH) is set to provide the funds for the implementation of the Medical Assistance for Indigent and Financially Incapacitated Patients (MAIFIP) program this year in all 14 government hospitals in Pangasinan.

The 14 government health facilities, namely: Asingan Community Hospital, Bayambang District Hospital, Bolinao Community Hospital, Dasol Community Hospital, Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital, Lingayen District Hospital will implement the program with a uniform fund of P3,960,000.00 each.

MAIP is a DOH program that provides financial support to indigent and poor patients seeking medical examination, consultation, treatment, and rehabilitation and those confined in government hospitals.

Last year, the provincial government received P384 million in financial assistance from senators and congressmen for the implementation of the program in the province. (PIMRO/RRB)
