Bus companies preparing for Holy Week vacation 

BUSES with terminals in Dagupan City are preparing for a flood of commuters coming and going out of the province during the Holy Week, a week after next. Terminal officials said prior to Holy Week, they always see to it that their buses are in good running condition.

Anticipating a big number of passengers will crowd to their mother terminals in Quezon City and Manila during the Holy Week, bus companies are now implementing advance booking. Those booked for travel to the province can go straight to the bus without the need for him or her to queue when they buy their bus tickets

 

Refused custody of his child, man hangs self 

A family problem that stemmed from the legal question about custody of his child, drove a man from Sta. Barbara town to commit suicide by hanging himself with a rope tied to a branch of mango tree. Relatives of the victim confirmed that their kin committed suicide because he was not allowed to take custody of the child he sired.

He really wanted to end his life because his parents found poison in his room. The victim did not take the poison but instead hanged himself. The victim was rushed to a local hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

 

Press corp officers visit PNP Region 1 

CORE officers of the Pangasinan PNP Press Corp paid a courtesy call on PNP Regional  Director P/Brigadier General Lou Evangelista at his headquarters at Camp Oscar Florendo in San Fernando City, La Union on Wednesday. Accompanied by P/Capt. Renan de la Cruz, public information of the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office, the officers of the PNP Press Corp were given a briefing on the seven-point agenda set to be achieved in Region I by General Evagelista, a true blue native of Binmaley.

The visit was intended to strengthen the camaraderie between the media in Pangasinan and the PNP in the whole region.
