384 classrooms, 1,152 teachers in Dagupan ready for BSKE
THE 384 classrooms in 30 public schools in the city will be used as polling precincts for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) on Monday, October 30 have been checked and prepared to conform with Comelec’s standards.
This was confirmed by Atty. Michael Sarmiento, Dagupan City Election Officer, as he announced that briefings and final orientation of teachers in Dagupan City who will serve as Board of Election Inspectors (BEIs) in Dagupan City started immediately after completing their training.
“Handang-handa na sila sa mga gagampanang tungkulin ngayong halalan,” Sarmiento said, referring to the 1,152 teachers that were divided into four groups for the briefing.
Sarmiento urged the public to come early on election day, as polling will begin at 7 in the morning, and ends at 3 in the afternoon.
He said only voters in the vicinity during the cut-off time will be accommodated and those who arrive after 3 p.m. will be rejected. (Ahikam Pasion)
