THE Dagupan Comelec Office reported the arrival of 386 ballot boxes to be used in the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections on October 30.

Atty. Michael Sarmiento, Dagupan City Election Officer, said all the ballot boxes are deposited at the City Treasurer’s Office for safekeeping together with some elections paraphernalia to be used by the Board of Election Inspectors (BEIs).

Meanwhile, P/Lt. Col Brendon Palisoc, Dagupan police chief, said policemen have been deployed in every barangay of the city to be able to quickly respond to emergencies.

The number of deployed troops will further be increased during Election Day.

Meanwhile, the the Dagupan police station and the COMELEC confirmed that there were no threats of potential violence or incidents recorded so far. (Ahikam Pasion)
