High school students attend forum on teenage pregnancy

THE Schools Division Office of San Carlos City, in collaboration with City Population Office Population Office, conducted a Teenage Pregnancy and Fertility Awareness forum in schools in San Carlos City last week.

The forum held at the Speaker Eugenia Perez Agricultural School, was attended by students led by officers and advisers of the  schools’ Supreme Secondary Leaders Government (SSLG) and was in support of the San Carlos City’s Project for Adolescent Health and Development.

The sought to raise awareness on the consequences of teenage pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections/diseases social (STI’s/STD’s), other social and health implications.

Dr. Luisa Cayabyab, head of City Population Office of San Carlos City, encouraged the youth to learn the causes, consequences and ways to prevent teenage pregnancy and become advocates for programs, projects, and activities focused in addressing the significant issue among the youth.  (Kim Gealogo)
